About PIMS Islamabad

The hospital needs office staff, medical support staff and lower-grade employees. The posts and seats are:
- Assistant (BS-15) – 1

- Midwife (BS-09) – 1
- Junior Technician Radiology (BS-09) – 1
- Junior Technician OT (BS-09) – 1

- Chowkidar, Mali and Naib Qasid (BS-01) – 1 each
- Sanitary Worker (BS-01) – 3
Qualification and Experience
The Assistant post needs graduation. The Stenotypist needs intermediate, 80/40 wpm shorthand and typing speed, and computer skills. UDC posts need intermediate, while LDC posts need matric with 30 wpm typing speed.
Clerical staff must finish a short basic IT course from NITB during probation. Midwife and Junior Technician candidates need matric with science and a one-year certificate or diploma from a recognised medical faculty. All BS-01 and BS-02 posts need a primary pass certificate only.
Age Limit and Quotas
The age limit is 18 to 28 years for the Assistant post and 18 to 25 years for all other posts. A five-year general relaxation is allowed, plus another five years for candidates from Balochistan.
The 2% disability, 5% minority and 10% women quotas will be observed under federal rules. Transgender candidates are also eligible as per government policy.
Salary Package
Pay will follow the basic pay scales of the federal government. Starting monthly pay with allowances is roughly Rs. 37,000 for BS-01 and around Rs. 75,000 for BS-15, along with medical and pension benefits.
Selection Process
Applications on NJP will be scrutinised first. Shortlisted candidates will get a call for a walk-in interview at PIMS. For skill-based posts like Stenotypist and LDC, a typing test may also be held.
Final merit will depend on qualification, interview and the relevant quota. Successful candidates will be appointed on a regular basis after medical fitness and verification.
Preparation Tips
Practise typing on a computer every day if you are applying for a clerical post. Revise basic MS Office, general knowledge and Pakistan studies for the interview.
Midwife and technician candidates should revise their course work and hospital procedures. Keep your NJP login details safe, as updates may be sent there.

Apply online through the National Job Portal at www.njp.gov.pk within 15 days of the advertisement. The expected last date is 17 November 2026.
Government employees must apply through proper channel with an NOC. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for a walk-in interview, and no TA/DA will be paid.
