Job Duties at the Airport
An Equipment Operator drives and operates ground support equipment such as baggage tractors, belt loaders and passenger stairs. A Push Back Driver moves aircraft away from the gate using a tug under the guidance of the ground crew.
Both jobs need careful driving, attention to safety rules and team work with ramp staff. Training on airport rules is given after arrival.
Benefits of Working in the Kingdom
Saudi labour law gives workers paid annual leave, end-of-service benefits and overtime pay. Many employers also give a return air ticket after each contract year.
Living costs in company accommodation are low, so a large part of the salary can be saved and sent home to family.
Recruitment Process Step by Step
The process starts with the trade test or interview on the given date. Selected candidates then go for a medical test at a GAMCA-approved centre. After that the agency applies for the visa and gets the work permit.
The last step is the protector stamp from the Protector of Emigrants office, along with the life insurance and OEP fee receipts. Most candidates fly within four to eight weeks of selection, depending on how fast the visa is issued.
Tips to Pass the Trade Test
Reach the test centre early with all documents. Wear proper work clothes and safety shoes if you have them.
Listen to the examiner carefully and complete the task step by step. Speak honestly about your experience, as examiners can easily judge skill in a practical test.
Stay Safe
Before you pay anything, check the agency licence on the Bureau of Emigration website (beoe.gov.pk). A licensed promoter can only charge the fee allowed by the government, and you must get an official receipt. Never hand over your original passport without a written acknowledgement.
