Local Government Department KPK Jobs 2026 have been announced through ETEA in Daily Aaj on 30 October 2026. The Directorate General Local Government and Rural Development Department, Peshawar needs 11 candidates for Assistant, Sub Engineer and AutoCAD Operator posts. These are regular government posts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, so they offer job security, a fixed pay scale and pension benefits. Only candidates domiciled in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa can apply.
Available Posts and Pay Scales
The department has announced three types of posts. Here are the details of each one as given in the advertisement.
- Assistant (BPS-16) – 1 post, age 21 to 30 years
- Sub Engineer (BPS-12) – 8 posts, age 21 to 28 years
- AutoCAD Operator (BPS-12) – 2 posts, age 18 to 30 years
All 11 posts are allocated to the minority quota. Age relaxation will be given as per existing government rules.
Required Qualification
For the Assistant post, candidates need at least a second class Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an HEC-recognised university.
For the Sub Engineer post, candidates need at least second division in Matric and a three-year Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Civil from a recognised institute.
For the AutoCAD Operator post, candidates need at least a second class Bachelor’s degree and a one-year diploma in Civil AutoCAD from a recognised technical institute.
Selection Process
Candidates will first appear in the ETEA screening test. Final merit will be made according to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government rules with the following marks.
- Educational criteria: 70 marks
- ETEA test: 20 marks
- Interview: 10 marks
Selected candidates will also go through a medical examination at the Police and Services Hospital, Peshawar. No TA/DA will be paid for the test or interview.
How to Apply Online
Applications will only be accepted online through the ETEA website. Follow these steps carefully.
- Visit www.etea.edu.pk and create your profile
- Print an E-Sahulat token and verify your CNIC at a NADRA E-Sahulat franchise
- Fill in the online form for the post you want
- Print the deposit slip and pay the non-refundable test fee through OneLink
- Keep the bank-stamped candidate copy of the slip safe with you
Candidates applying for more than one post must apply separately and pay a separate fee for each post. Do not send any documents to the ETEA office after applying.
Important Dates
The online application form will be available from 1 November 2026. The last date to submit applications is 20 November 2026.
ETEA will send an SMS when roll number slips are ready. The test date, time and venue will be printed on the roll number slip, so use a mobile number that is not ported or converted.
